NEIGHBORHOOD

The SonSpot is located in the serene Whalehead neighborhood and is just a few miles from the entrance of the 4×4 Beach. Here, you can take a scenic drive on the sand and possibly catch a glimpse of the wild horses grazing on the beach. You can also walk to the Whalehead Brewery, Food Lion, or Timbuck 2 shopping center. Here are some attractions we recommend visiting during your stay.

  • Historic Corolla Village (Try Kind Cup Coffee or the Island Bookstore, climb the Currituck Lighthouse)

  • Corolla Light Town Center (Uncle Ikes, plenty of ice cream spots and arcades)
  • Timbuck II Shopping Village (Lots of cool spots to eat and shop) – Try First Light for breakfast or grab a bagel at Lighthouse Bagels
  • Town of Duck (20 min away) (Walk the long boardwalk, try NC Coast or Red Skye Cafe)

Access to The SonSpot is hassle-free with our Smart Lock system. On your check-in day, you’ll receive a unique code to unlock the door, which will expire at 10:00 a.m. on your check-out day.

★ BOOKING GUIDELINES
We do not accept reservations from individuals under 25 and strictly prohibit third-party bookings. The person making the reservation must be the one staying at the property.

★ RENTAL AGREEMENT
Per the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act, all guests over 18 must sign a Rental Agreement governing the terms of the stay.

★ TRUST & SAFETY FEE
We do not collect a security deposit. Instead, our company uses a third-party service for short-term rental insurance to ensure that the guest, the home, and its contents are protected during the stay. Please visit the Safely website for more information.

★ CLEANING & SANITIZATION
Our guests’ health, safety, and well-being are of utmost importance. For this reason, we use a thorough cleaning process after each check-out.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Travelers who cancel at least 60 days before check-in will receive 100% of the amount they’ve paid minus any credit card or processing fees. If they cancel between 30 and 60 days before check-in, you will receive 50% minus any credit card or processing fees. Otherwise, there will not be a refund.
